The Art Clay World UK Guild was formed to promote the understanding and enjoyment of Art Clay Silver and Gold at all levels of skill from the professional to the hobbyist. The Guild provides a wide variety of services:

Information: The Guild’s direct link to the manufacturers of Art Clay means that the most up-to-date information about Art Clay Silver and Gold products, tools and accessories are always available to Guild members.

Education: Art Clay certification courses were established in Japan in 1997 by the manufacturers of Art Clay in Japan, Aida Chemical Industries Co., Ltd. These courses are co-ordinated world wide and result in internationally recognised certificates. The Guild oversees the education program in the UK, in accordance with the criteria set by Art Clay World in Japan. Cross-over courses from other precious metal media are available.

Newsletter: The Guild produces a quarterly newsletter to inform members of news in the Art Clay world community.

Website: The Guild’s website is growing rapidly with information on all aspects of Art Clay. Teachers with Art Clay qualifications are encouraged to advertise their classes on the site.

Events: The Guild has an exciting range of events planned - exhibitions, competitions and seminars. A major conference on Art Clay is held annually.

Membership provides:

1. A year’s subscription to the Guild’s quarterly newsletter (4 issues).

2. Reduced rates at Guild events that are open to the public.

3. Entitlement to enter work in Guild exhibitions, competitions and other events.

4. Members are encouraged to submit photographs of their work, letters and all kinds of contributions for the newsletter and website.

5. Technical advice on all aspects of working with Art Clay products.

6. The facility for members to contact each other through the newsletter and the membership list (provided permission has been given by the members concerned - see application form.)

7. Corporate membership, intended for business members, entitles your company to free listing on the Guild website and reduced advertising rates in the newsletter.

8. Coming soon! The ACWUK Guild website will have log in facilities to a members' only area and a forum for members to exchange news, views, problems and other information.
